Nicole Anderson, LMHC

Being a human is hard. You don’t have to do it alone. As a therapist, my goals are to empower you to transform your life with purpose and to create a safe space for you to process the things that are hard to sit with alone. I will strive to understand you as a whole and use that understanding to tailor a combination of therapeutic approaches that would best meet your unique needs. I use an eclectic approach, drawing on person-centered and strengths-based therapies in addition to dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and art therapy. As a neurodivergent, queer clinician, I am constantly working on developing my cultural humility and decolonizing my therapeutic practice. I have eight years of experience working as a mental health counselor for a diverse community of people dealing with a variety of challenges including trauma, anxiety, self-esteem, depression, addiction, bipolar,  BPD, psychosis, exploring LGBTQ identities, and navigating big life changes. My clients commonly describe me as “real,” “radiating kindness,” “a constant source of non-judgment,” and “a little goofy but in a good way.” Also, I have two cats who consider themselves my personal assistants, and they rarely miss a telehealth session.
