Elizabeth is a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) and nationally certified counselor (NCC) who believes that everyone deserves a space where they can be themselves and feel heard and supported as they navigate life’s various challenges. Elizabeth has clinical experience in a variety of mental health settings including clinical research, domestic violence shelters, university counseling centers, youth residential homes, psychiatric hospitals, and outpatient settings. She has extensive experience running groups and working with individuals in the partial hospitalization setting, and additionally held a leadership position as the Lead Clinician of a women’s trauma-focused program. Elizabeth has a passion for working with women, trauma survivors, BPD, and the LGBTQ+ community. She believes in a person-centered approach when working with individuals and focuses on developing a strong therapeutic relationship with clients in order to meet their specific needs. Elizabeth feels strongly that client-centered, trauma-informed therapy can help facilitate emotional wellbeing and increase overall life satisfaction. Elizabeth earned a B.A. in Psychology from James Madison University and a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University’s School of Medicine.
