Ben is a therapist dedicated to creating a safe space in which his clients feel empowered to look inward. With a strong person-centered foundation and trauma informed approach, he believes clients are the experts on themselves. Ben supports his clients on their individual journeys through the use of mutual curiosity, unconditional positive regard, play, and humor. He utilizes a collaborative and eclectic approach to therapy, bringing perspectives such as motivational interviewing, Gestalt therapy, parts work, and existential theory as needed.
Ben has experience with a variety of clients including couples, non-traditional relationships, neurodivergent clients, and LGBTQIA clients. He has experience as an outreach clinician working with individuals experiencing homelessness, helping people struggling with substance use and severe untreated psychotic disorders. He also has experience supporting clients with many issues, including: vocational/career issues, homelessness, substance use, men’s issues, anxiety, and depression.
As a social justice informed counselor, Ben seeks to help clients understand themselves within the larger systems in our society that may be at play in their lives.
